Simple Indoor Activites to do with Kid in the Winter
With the seasons changing, snow falling and my children kind enough to track mud and leaves into my house, I find activities like these help keep some of that mud outside.  And if you are getting ready for Christmas (I know, it’s not even quite Thanksgiving yet!) these can make great ornaments and home made gifts your children can quickly personalize for Grandma and Grandpa. Here’s what you need and how you do it:

Inredients:

4 cups flour,
1 cup salt,
1 1/2 cups water

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl
Knead for 15 minutes
roll out 1/4 inch thick
Bake at 300 for 40-45 minutes
Make sure to poke hole for hanging before baking!

After they cool take out some craft paints, a few paint brushes and help your kids decorate their hand or foot prints in festive christmas designs.  This whole project can be done in just over an hour.  Simple, easy to clean up and keeps the kids active and  using their imaginations.
